Back in the 14th century there are comments made
about “Spanyells” which look very much like today’s Cocker Spaniels.
The American Cocker Spaniel has been shown in the US since the 1880’s.
Cockers are the smallest of the spaniels, and within the Sporting Group
where they have been recognized by the AKC since 1878. This breed is
highly intelligent, and gentle making them the perfect hunting or family
dog. Cocker Spaniels come in three groups of coloring; black, parti-colored,
or ASCOB which stands for “any solid color other than black”. Their coats
are lush, either straight or wavy, and require regular brushing, grooming,
and trimming to avoid mats. Cockers take to water very well, and with the
strong sturdy body, can move quite quickly both in the water, and on land.

Winter is just around corner which means hardships on wild cats and their kittens
as well as kittens having kittens without feed or shelter during the cold months with the grounds
covered with ice and snow in our woods, not to mention wild birds and squirrels that are
unable to find food and shelter to stay alive until spring.
We are animal lovers and use eBay to buy cat and bird food as well as paying for spays if we can trap them.
If we do, we feed and tame them so we can have them spayed. Then we try to find them good homes,
all at our expense. Unfortunately,  because of all the million dollar corporations taking over eBay
selling their returns and closeouts, small businesses like ours, are struggling to make a profit and
being retired, we end up using our own money to pay for spays, feed and shelter so your orders
are needed so we can continue our abandoned pets program or we will find it necessary to give
it up letting all the abandoned cats and birds go hungry until the weather warms up.
We feed them in a number of locations twice a day so our feed bill is more than we can handle
