Item description:
c1960s Vintage, RARE Nikon 180mm f/2.5 NIKKOR-H 1:2.5 18cm Nippon Kogaku Japan No. 474236 Telephoto COATED LENS for the Nikon Rangefinder /RF System.
RARE BIRD! As far as I was able to investigate, only about 1,000 of these lenses were ever manufactured. This lens, serial No. 474236, is a late type 2 (c.1963?).
If you add to the rarity the fact that it is in pristine condition…
The lens offered for sale is almost impossible to find.
Please note that this lens needs a Reflex Housing to be used with your Nikon S, S2, S3, S4 SP etc RF 35mm film camera body –In another of my listings, a RARE near mint in box Nikon NKK Reflex Housing Type2 –equally rare or even rarer than this lens- is being offered for sale.

Cosmetics:
Incredible find! This lens looks like it was very little used and I rate it to be in mint- condition. It comes with the free of cracks or missing chips rear cap, in the original box. Nothing else is included in this sale, and the box is in poor condition (worst at the bottom).
Mechanics/Optics:
The lens operates fine in every sense and the diaphragm blades are free of oil. I see no marks on the glass nor I see other blemishes within the elements.
Please note that I am anything but an expert in RF photo-equipment so please feel free to ask as mu¿any questions as needed and/or for extra pictures if necessary.
