Planted aquarium Custom CO2 system, Industrial grade 2 Stages regulator & parts.
-This 316L stainless steel custom co2 system, all parts were individually chosen, then built and tested by bettatail (member of TPT).
-It will be part of the exhibition of your planted tank while the industrial grade components ensure many years of pleasant and trouble free service, and 316L stainless steel structure also enable this system work under harsh saltwater environment.
-I've been researching and building aquarium custom double stage co2 systems since 2011, now the parts you see in my custom made co2 systems are among the best industrial grade components that I could offer.
-The systems are built with industrial diaphragm valves double stage regulators, not normal aquarium co2 regulators
that are
Pin/spring valves design. Double stage ensure no
Out Put Pressure Rise
which cause EOTD and lost of fauna in the tank. Diaphragm valves guarantee less issue with the valve leaking and always ensure on/close and hold steady the desired output pressure at each valve stage.
-Solenoid is part of the system that enable a timer/automation control of the co2 injection. Reliable solenoids with extremely low power consumption, s
mall orifice and
high on/off life cycles,
are good candidates because the co2 flow rate is extremely low in our application, but these solenoids are not available in commercially ready co2 systems due to high cost, we have to find and put them on the co2 systems ourselves.
-High precision metering valve, this is the part that control and hold steady the desired co2 flow rate. Higher the precision, easier the adjustment capability and less flow rate drift issue. Some of the industrial grade metering valve involved in these DIY type high end co2 systems, are with original price tags same as the co2 systems that built with the valves.
Three major components of this co2 system:
1.
GO regulator, by HOKE,
316L stainless steel, input pressure max 3600 psi, output pressure 0-100 psi. This is an industrial grade double stage diaphragm pressure regulator. Go regulator is from HOKE. Connection type CGA 320.
2.
Clippard mouse solenoid
, This
miniature solenoid is a reliable low power consumption solenoid. only 0.67watts low power consumption,
1 billion manufacture On/off life cycle rating, MOPD 0-105 psi. Provided power adapter is 24V DC.
3.
Parker Hannifin
HR series high precision metering valve model 0 (the lowest flow rate in the series), extremely high precision flow control, with turn counter handle for flow rate easy adjustment. Its flow control capacity can be as low as 0.1 sccm, normal co2 flowrate for 55G planted tank is 10-14 sccm(5lb co2 tank, 6-8 month, 8 hours/day).
(The post body block is a retrofitted Parker hannifin HR metering valve block. After custom modification, clippard solenoid can be mounted, hence the compact size of the overall post body)
4.
SMC
stainless steel check valve, 316L stainless steel, spring and valve seat inner core, 1 psi cracking pressure.
♣All major components and fittings are 316L stainless steel.
♣Bubble counter can be replaced with 1/4 OD hose push and pull quick connector(inform seller before item is shipped)
This system works with various co2 fusion methods: regular or inline diffuser/atomizer, co2 reactors, calcium reactors, ph controller..
This system works with both freshwater planted tank and saltwater reef tank.
How to use this system
:
Normal operating procedure for a pressure regulator, but a couple things worth mentioned to avoid mistakes, especially if it is first time to use a pressurized co2 cylinder:
1. make sure the washer in place when connect to a co2 cylinder/tank, hand tight then wrench tight the cga320 nut.
2. the pressure adjust handle is at close position(all the way
counter
clockwise) while charging the system with pressurized co2.
3. open the co2 cylinder valve slowly.

recommend industrial grade polyurethane hose for co2, do not use silicon air hose(high co2 leak rate under pressure).
